R-VII Advocate
Mr. Tom Poole was honored as the R-VII Advocate for his incredible contributions to the district over a 39-year career. Mrs. Tara Fish introduced Mr. Poole with a heartfelt speech, highlighting his many roles, including Middle School Athletic Director, coach, advocate for special education, and a driving force behind the district's Boosters Club, which helped ensure students had the resources they needed. Mrs. Fish shared stories that reflected Mr. Poole's thoughtfulness, like his tradition of gifting engraved Christmas ornaments to students and his efforts to build meaningful connections with families. Mr. Poole expressed gratitude to the school board and his supporters, reflecting on his journey since starting in 1980. Mr. Poole spoke about the relationships he built with students, parents, and staff and his belief in listening to and supporting every child. His dedication, kindness, and passion for education have left a lasting impact on the Jefferson R-VII community.
