Today the counseling department hosted a scholarship social in the galley to help senior students prepare for their college transitions. If you were not able to attend but would like more information, there is a list of scholarships below for seniors only and a link to our counseling website for more scholarships available to other students.
Scholarships Available to Jefferson High School Seniors Only:
The Andy Habsieger Memorial Scholarship (at least one given annually) - Information will be coming. Any JHS Senior with a minimum gpa of 2.5 and has great leadership skills is encouraged to apply.
Blue Jay Foundation Scholarships (Given to 2 students annually) due March 31, 2023. Paper application in the counseling office.
The Brenda Preston Scholarship (1 given annually) due March 31, 2023. The applicants must be Seniors who plan to attend college to become a teacher or a school counselor. Paper application in the counseling office.
JHS Music Boosters Scholarship (Awarded through the Music Program)
Jefferson RVII MSTA/MNEA Scholarship due March 31, 2023. Paper application in the counseling office.
The Lyly Koenig Memorial Scholarship (Money from the Annual Hoops for Hope event) (2 given annually to one senior girl and one senior boy) due March 31, 2023. Paper application in the counseling office.
Nagel “Go Red” Scholarship (at least 2 given annually) due March 31, 2023. Seniors who plan to enter the healthcare field are encouraged to apply. Paper application in the counseling office.
Nurse Wanager Nursing Scholarship (1 award) due March 31, 2023. Applicants must be planning to get a degree in nursing or the healthcare field. Paper application in the counseling office.
PTO Scholarships (4 given annually) due March 31, 2023. (ONLINE APPLICATION)
Blue Jay All the Way - a senior who has attended R7 since kindergarten.
Blue Jay Dollar - financial need
Making a difference - emphasis on Civic Leadership and Mindfulness
Jo Ellen Murphy - one senior that will attend Jefferson College
Red Cross Scholarship (given to at least one senior) Application will be coming. Any JHS Senior is eligible to complete the application.
The Shelter Insurance Scholarship sponsored by Kevin Epperson (three awarded annually) due March 31, 2023. Paper application in the counseling office.
The Tye and Scott Edwards Memorial Scholarship (given to 1 senior annually) due March 31, 2023. Any JHS Senior is eligible to complete the application. Paper application in the counseling office.
The Debbie Blaha Memorial Scholarship - Scholarship given to 1 senior annually due March 31st, 2023. Paper application in the counseling office.
The Heather Schnitzler Pre-K Scholarship - Scholarship given to 1 senior annually due March 31st, 2023 Paper application in the counseling office.
